Job Summary

At SLS The Red Sea every arrival sets the tone and every departure leaves a lasting impression. As Bell Captain you will lead the Bell team in creating smooth welcoming and memorable guest experiences from the moment guests arrive at the resort until the moment they leave.

Working closely with the Concierge Front Office and Valet teams you will oversee daily Bell Desk operations luggage handling guest assistance and transportation coordination. With a hands-on leadership style and a strong presence across the lobby and arrival areas you will guide the team to deliver service with warmth confidence and the distinctive personality of SLS The Red Sea.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Bell team ensuring smooth and consistent service across all guest arrivals and departures.
  • Maintain a visible and engaging presence in the lobby driveway and resort arrival areas supporting guests and colleagues throughout the shift.
  • Personally welcome and assist guests upon arrival and departure creating memorable first and last impressions.
  • Oversee luggage handling storage delivery and collection ensuring all items are handled securely accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper luggage tagging logging tracking and storage procedures are followed at all times.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office and Concierge teams to support guest arrivals departures room moves and other guest requirements.
  • Assist with transportation arrangements including airport transfers private transfers and other guest mobility requirements.
  • Coordinate with Valet and transportation teams to ensure smooth guest movements and efficient arrivals and departures.
  • Stay informed of VIP arrivals repeat guests special requests and individual preferences to support personalized service.
  • Provide accurate and engaging information about resort facilities dining venues activities experiences Shura Island and the wider Red Sea destination.
  • Handle guest inquiries requests and concerns professionally ensuring appropriate action and follow-up.
  • Supervise the secure storage of guest luggage and personal belongings while maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure bell carts luggage rooms storage areas and related equipment are clean organized secure and ready for operation.
  • Maintain the presentation and organization of the lobby resort entrance arrival areas and Bell Desk in line with SLS standards.
  • Conduct team briefings and provide ongoing guidance on service standards safety procedures guest engagement and daily resort operations.
  • Coach and support Bell team members providing real-time feedback and identifying opportunities for development.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure colleagues consistently demonstrate professional grooming conduct and guest engagement.
  • Ensure guest requests and related tasks are properly recorded tracked and followed through using the relevant resort systems.
  • Coordinate closely with Concierge Front Office Guest Relations Valet Security Housekeeping and other resort departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure all safety security guest privacy and luggage-handling procedures are followed consistently.
  • Support the preparation of Bell Desk operational reports guest feedback and relevant team updates when required.
  • Support the Rooms team with operational requirements and continuous improvement of the overall guest arrival and departure experience.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within Bell Desk Front Office Concierge or Guest Services preferably within a luxury or lifestyle resort environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills with a warm confident and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Opera PMS guest request management systems or similar hospitality technology is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of transportation arrangements destination experiences and guest activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to lead coach and motivate a team while remaining hands-on during busy operations.
  • Physically able to assist with luggage handling and remain active for extended periods.
  • Flexible to work varying shifts weekends and public holidays according to resort operational requirements.
