Job Description

Experienced Paint Shop Process Technician with 5 years of expertise in automotive paint operations paint process control and Paint Mix Room (PMR) management. Skilled in monitoring and optimizing paint shop processes to ensure high-quality surface finishes production efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate monitor and maintain automotive paint shop processes including pre-treatment electro-deposition (E-coat) primer base coat and clear coat applications.

• Manage Paint Mix Room (PMR) activities including paint preparation mixing viscosity control color matching and inventory management.

• Monitor critical paint process parameters such as temperature humidity paint flow rates pressure settings and film thickness.

• Conduct routine quality inspections and ensure compliance with customer specifications and automotive quality standards.

• Troubleshoot paint defects including runs sags orange peel dirt contamination craters and color variations.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve paint quality and process stability.

• Coordinate with production maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

• Support paint booth maintenance activities filter replacement programs and equipment calibration.

• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations related to paint handling chemical storage and waste disposal.

• Maintain production records process reports paint consumption data and quality documentation.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing paint consumption improving first-pass yield and enhancing process performance.
