Job Summary
The Associate Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Engineer will lead the delivery of Fire & Life Safety consultancy services across a range of projects providing technical leadership managing project delivery mentoring team members and supporting business development while ensuring compliance with local and international fire safety codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of Fire & Life Safety strategies reports and drawings.
- Manage FLS projects from concept through construction ensuring quality budget and programme compliance.
- Coordinate with clients design teams and approving authorities.
- Lead performance-based fire engineering studies including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis where required.
- Mentor junior engineers and undertake technical reviews.
- Support proposals fee estimates and business development activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes company QA/QC procedures and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Fire Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Masters preferred).
- 10 years of Fire & Life Safety consultancy experience.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA IBC IFC UAE Fire Code Saudi Building Code and other relevant standards.
- Experience with performance-based fire engineering and authority approvals in the Middle East is desirable.

Client & Authority Liaison
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients.
- Attend client/Civil Defense meetings workshops and design coordination meetings.
- Liaise with Civil Defence Authorities and other approving bodies.
- Support authority submissions and address review comments.
Professional Memberships (Preferred)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent.
- Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) SFPE SCE or equivalent.
- NFPA CFPS CFPE or other relevant professional certifications are desirable.
Qualifications :
