Senior Group Internal Auditor

Mission

Join the Romaniabased Coface Audit Team and contribute to audit assignments across the entire Coface Group in line with the multiyear audit plan and in compliance with Group audit policies and methodology.

Your Responsibilities

As part of an audit mission team of 25 international auditors under the guidance of a Head of Mission you will:

• Develop audit programs by defining engagement objectives audit scope and risk priorities.
• Evaluate key audit areas including internal control design and effectiveness compliance with Group policies and progress on prior recommendations.
• Execute riskbased audits in collaboration with international teams.
• Prepare audit reports that clearly articulate findings risks and actionable recommendations.
• Identify control gaps and propose improvements to strengthen processes systems and governance.
• Contribute to audit quality by ensuring consistency with Group standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support methodology enhancements including integrated audits and digitalization of audit activities.
• Participate in special projects such as process reviews or adhoc assignments.

Qualifications :

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting Economics or related fields.
• 35 years of experience in internal audit financial audit or financial controlling.
• Experience in general industry (credit insurance experience is a plus not a requirement).
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks risk management principles and audit standards (IIA Standards COSO).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build constructive relationships at all levels.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with audit tools (e.g. AuditBoard TeamMate) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (missions typically require 12week trips).
