I am a Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa, specializing in Data Science & Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. With a strong academic foundation (CGPA: 3.72), I have developed expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI engineering, and MLOps, enabling me to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions for real-world applications.
My technical skills span across machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn), data engineering (pandas, NumPy, Spark, Dask, Polars), MLOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). I also have hands-on experience with backend development (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and microservices architecture using RabbitMQ, gRPC, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
In terms of projects, I have developed and deployed several AI and machine learning applications, including Learner Aware AI Chat Agent, an adaptive AI tutoring system utilizing LLMs, LangChain, and Knowledge Tracing, as well as AI-Driven Business Growth Web App, which won 1st place at Datastorm 5.0. Other projects include Smart Bill Analyzer (OCR-powered invoicing tool), Sign Language Translator using LSTMs, and an Automated Email Client with AI-based personalizations.
My professional experience includes working as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at CML Insight Inc., where I developed end-to-end ML pipelines, NLP-based feature extraction models, and scalable AI microservices. Additionally, as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Moratuwa, I conducted technical sessions on data science and AI, mentoring students in advanced machine learning concepts and projects.
I have also contributed to AI research, with my paper "Large Language Model-Based Student Intent Classification for Intelligent Tutoring Systems" being accepted at the International Conference on Information Technology Research (ICITR) 2024.
