My Role in the E-Library ProjectI worked as a backend and API developer for the e-library web application developed during my internship at Saraswat Institutions. I was responsible for designing and developing REST APIs using Django and Django REST Framework to manage a digital library containing over 4,000 scanned PDFs. My role included handling backend logic, API design, and data flow between the frontend and database. I implemented functionality to automatically detect the script type and language of uploaded PDFs using OCR tools such as Tesseract and pdfplumber. I also contributed to frontend development by designing responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly interface.
