Aliasgar Imdad Bootwala is a Software Engineer with 2 years of production experience building payment systems, distributed pipelines, and developer tools. He specializes in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and event-driven architecture, with a strong track record of shipping real systems that solve real problems.
His professional experience comes from Hatim Technologies, where he worked as a MERN Stack Developer from June 2024 to July 2026. There, he owned the adapter layer for a Payment Service Provider (PSP) platform that unified 5 payment gateways behind a single REST API. He built a config-driven MongoDB payload-mapping system that cut new-gateway onboarding from 3 days to just 1 day through a zero-code admin workflow. On the frontend, he owned the merchant-facing Next.js application across three core modules — onboarding, merchant management, and analytics dashboards — built on a reusable component library with React Query for server-state management.
Aliasgar also partnered with the engineering team on a Kafka-backed async pipeline processing 50 messages per batch, where he built the email-notification worker and Redis-based retry logic with dead-letter queues, keeping the backend stable under high-load spikes. He contributed to the platform's multi-tenant architecture, implementing subdomain-based smart tenant routing and targeted payment-engine improvements that cut regional deployment time from roughly 1 day to 20–30 minutes. He monitored production transactions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, and once debugged a cancelled transaction by tracing correlation ID and request ID through logs to identify a Stripe limit rejection as the root cause. He also built a Polygon blockchain webhook service that mints proof-of-payment NFTs via Solidity smart contracts across all 5 payment gateways, giving support teams tamper-proof evidence for dispute resolution.
Beyond his job, Aliasgar builds and ships his own tools. His Aligator project is a production-grade MongoD
