Creative Design and Innovation Engineering Teacher and Labs Engineer
As vocational engineering creative design and innovation teacher at ministry of education in United Arab Emirates, my responsibilities include teaching grade 11 and 12 (general and advanced levels students) the subject “Creative Design and Innovation” theoretically and practically. The subject integrates different technologies, concepts and engineering topics such as electrical circuits, electronic components and applications, 2D and 3D CAD designs (Autodesk Fusion 360 software), engineering drawing and sketching, mechanical engineering basics and concepts, Raspberry Pi and Arduino microcontroller programming & wiring, sensors and actuators, robotics and control systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning and neural networks (NN), Internet of Things(IoT),embedded system, operating system(OS), digital gates, Arduino IDE C/C++ programming, Rasberry Pi Python programming, Colab website for neural networks, Tinkercad application for building and simulating electronic projects, and use of various electronic and project kits. Also, I prepare, install and housekeep all equipment, tools and kits of the CDI engineering workshop. I deliver the subject in project based and STREAM approach theoretically and practically.
I taught the students how to generate creative ideas and use innovative techniques for solving problems and creating ideas of sophisticated engineering projects such as sumo robot, portable speaker, Mars Rover, and autonomous vehicle using engineering drawing equipment, then the students learned building CAD computer designs of the project’s structures using Autodesk Fusion 360 software, they also learned using 3D printer to manufacture the project’s parts. Lastly, they use project’s kit to assemble the project and build the required electronic embedded system with using Arduino Microcontroller or Rasberry Pi boards. Also, I taught the students using Arduino IDE or Apache software to make the required programming for controlling the whole project sequence of work.
