Face Recognition Attendance System
he Face Recognition Attendance System is an AI-based smart attendance management application developed to automate and simplify the traditional attendance process using facial recognition technology. The system captures and recognizes the faces of individuals in real time through a webcam or camera feed and automatically marks attendance without requiring manual interaction.The main objective of this project is to provide a secure, fast, and accurate attendance solution for organizations, educational institutions, and workplaces. Traditional attendance methods such as manual registers, ID cards, or fingerprint systems can be time-consuming and prone to proxy attendance or errors. This system solves those issues by using unique facial features for identity verification.The project was developed using the Python programming language along with libraries and technologies related to computer vision and machine learning. The system detects faces from live video input, compares them with stored facial data, and records attendance when a match is found. Attendance records are automatically stored in a database or file system with details such as name, date, and time.
