PR & Media Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven PR & Media Specialist to increase brand awareness and strengthen our reputation through strategic public relations and media this role you will develop and execute PR campaigns that position our company and executives as trusted voices within the financial services industry.

You will be responsible for securing media opportunities across financial publications business news outlets podcasts newsletters and other relevant channels. Working closely with the marketing team and company leadership you will create compelling stories build relationships with journalists and media professionals and help amplify our brand through meaningful media exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute public relations and media outreach strategies that increase brand visibility and credibility.
  
• Write edit and distribute press releases media advisories and other PR materials.
  
• Research identify and pitch compelling story ideas to journalists editors producers and media outlets.
  
• Secure media placements in financial publications business news outlets trade publications podcasts newsletters and other relevant channels.
  
• Coordinate podcast interviews media interviews speaking engagements and other thought leadership opportunities for company executives.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists editors podcast hosts and media contacts.
  
• Develop and maintain media lists and outreach databases.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy company announcements product launches and industry insights.
  
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign performance and brand exposure.
  
• Stay informed on industry trends competitor coverage and emerging media opportunities.
  
• Ensure all public-facing communications align with the companys messaging branding and compliance requirements.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in public relations media relations corporate communications or a similar role.
  
• Proven success securing media coverage through strategic outreach and relationship building.
  
• Experience pitching stories to financial business or professional publications.
  
• Existing relationships with journalists editors producers or media outlets are highly preferred.
  
• Excellent writing editing and storytelling skills.
  
• Experience writing and distributing press releases.
  
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience working with financial services investment firms fintech legal or other regulated industries.
  
• Experience securing placements in publications such as Forbes Investopedia Seeking Alpha Yahoo Finance or similar high-authority outlets.
  
• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing to maximize the reach of media coverage.
