Job Description: Social Development Team Leader
Position Overview
We seek an experienced Social Development Team Leader to oversee community-based social development and gender equality initiatives driving organizational impact in advancing inclusive development and social empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the social development team with technical guidance and mentorship
- Design and implement community-based social development and gender programs
- Conduct gender analysis and social research to inform strategy
- Manage project budgets timelines and deliverables
- Develop and facilitate capacity-building training on gender and social inclusion
- Establish partnerships with government agencies NGOs and community organizations
- Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks
- Prepare reports for donors and stakeholders
- Advocate for gender equality and social development priorities
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Sociology Social Sciences Development Studies or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience
- At least 3 years in gender social development or community-based projects
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of gender and social development frameworks
- Research and data analysis proficiency
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strategic planning and project management
- Team leadership and staff development expertise
- Cultural sensitivity and commitment to social justice
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Gender Studies or Development Studies
- Experience with government social development programs
- Knowledge of Philippine development context
- Experience managing donor-funded projects
