Programs Manager

JOB TITLE: Program Manager 
LOCATION: Remote (with weekly physical check-ins in Yaba Lagos)
 COMPANY: These Genes Foundation
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time (2025 hours weekly)
 SALARY: Minimum of 250000 monthly (pre-tax & allowances included)

These Genes Foundation was founded by the late Tosyn Bucknor to empower and support individuals living with sickle cell. Inspired by Tosyns courageous journey with sickle cell disease the Foundation is committed to creating meaningful impact through three major focus areas:
- Financial Empowerment
- Educational Support
- Medical Support
 
ROLE SUMMARY
The Program Manager will oversee the daily operations and coordination of the Foundations activities while ensuring smooth execution of programs and initiatives. The role involves managing stakeholders and partnerships coordinating communications overseeing the Foundations online presence and ensuring proper reporting and accountability processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Manage operations and organisational activities
 Create activity calendars around milestones for Tosyn & the sickle cell community
 Manage the organisations website & social media presence
 Manage partners and stakeholders
 Serve as contact person for the organisation
 Ensure donations are properly reported & acknowledged
 Liaise with the accountant to provide account updates
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 Previous work experience in a similar role
 University degree in Social Sciences or Humanities (minimum of Second Class)
 Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel & PowerPoint
 Ability to use cloud storage platforms like Google Drive & Dropbox
 Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
 Excellent verbal organisational & interpersonal skills
 Good to excellent written and spoken English
 Ability to work under direction while taking personal responsibility
 Strong decision-making & problem-solving skills
 Ability to plan schedule & monitor work effectively
 Ability to work under pressure while paying attention to detail
 Ability to work well with senior management colleagues & the public
 High level of trustworthiness discretion & confidentiality
 

Requirements

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
 Masters degree in Social Sciences or Humanities
 NGO experience
 Highly organised personality
 
PERFORMANCE REVIEW WILL BE BASED ON:
 Ability to deliver on assigned responsibilities
 Timely and accurate weekly status reports to the Chairman
