Job Summary

The Operations Support Personnel is responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the companys Last-mile operations with a close working relationship with the Dispatch riders. This role provides critical support to ensure the smooth execution of delivery schedules with Dispatch riders vehicle maintenance and efficient communication between riders customers and the operations team. The Operations Support Personnel plays a key role in tracking deliveries maintaining records and resolving any operational issues promptly.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in coordinating daily delivery schedules and ensuring timely dispatch of vehicles.

  • Monitor delivery progress communicate with riders and update customers on delivery status when necessary.

  • Help manage fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate vehicle repairs or emergency breakdowns in conjunction with the Operations Officer.

  • Maintain accurate logs of delivery routes vehicle usage and maintenance activities.

  • Support the Operations Officer in optimizing delivery routes and ensuring effective resource allocation.

  • Assist in tracking key performance metrics such as delivery times vehicle utilization and fleet maintenance costs.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and last-mile delivery policies by supporting regular safety checks and maintenance procedures.

  • Provide administrative support including updating databases preparing reports and maintaining documentation for deliveries and fleet operations.

  • Assist in managing relationships with third-party service providers such as vehicle maintenance vendors or delivery partners.

  • Respond to operational issues or customer inquiries and escalate problems to the Operations Officer as needed.

  • Assist with the recruitment training and onboarding of new delivery riders.

  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies by suggesting and implementing new ideas or tools.

  • Assist in the tracking and management of delivery-related expenses such as battery charging vehicle repairs and delivery personnel wages.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations Officer.



Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business or a related field is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in logistics fleet management or operational support preferably in a last-mile delivery environment.

  • Familiarity with delivery management systems fleet tracking and scheduling tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with riders customers and third-party service providers.

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle safety standards.

  • Problem-solving skills to address operational issues quickly.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc.) and other relevant software.

  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments.

  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
