We are currently looking for a Software Engineerto join the team in Delft.

You will be working within the Defence& Security business unit where we are working on innovative solutions thatleverage space technologies. Our D&S team is active in the Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Space Situational Awareness (SSA). This roleinvolves defining system requirements performing trade-offs based on thorough analysesand designing and maintaining a modular software architecture. You will alsoactively contribute to algorithm development optimization integration andtesting in laboratory environments and during field operations. As a softwareengineer you will be responsible for maintaining the software architecturethrough documentation review and CI/CD.

Main responsibilities

• Define requirements based onstakeholder input and perform system and component design to meet theserequirements
• Develop implement andoptimize algorithms in software and evaluate performance using custom oroff-the-shelf hardware
• Design test benches for testverification and validation of our systems and define and perform testverification and validation activities
• Lead projects and tasks inlarge projects

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science or a related technical field or extensive work experienceequivalent to these qualifications
• Good understanding of theconcepts of signal processing system control and digital communication or an affinity for learning more about these concepts
• 4 years of experience;Programming proficiencyin PythonC C. Experience with CMake and GCC is an advantage. Experience inReact/TypeScript and WebAssembly (C) is an advantage. Experience in Nix/NixOSis an advantage
• Experience in designing andmaintaining software architecture
• Software testing from unit tosystem tests (pytest/GoogleTest)
• Experience in CI/CD (GitLab isan advantage)
• Strong communication skills in Englishboth verbally and in writing. Dutch is an advantage
• Affinity with working forDefence. Possibility of obtaining security clearances (Dutch NATO EU) is a must
