Job Summary
Department
Youlljoin the Investments & Data Technology department within the Investments Bespoke Solutions (IBS) team. We build custom applications that directly support Robecos investment process and are used daily by portfolio managers and researchers.The team consists of around 20 engineers working in small focused teams each responsible for a set of applications. Weoperatefully in the cloud and focus on delivering reliable scalable softwarewithreal businessimpact.
We work in small autonomous teams consisting of developers a lead developer and aProductOwner. Teamsare responsible fortheir applications and work closely with the business to deliver improvements. TheProductOwner sets priorities while developers design and build solutions. A Solution Architectprovidesoverall guidance to keep teams aligned.
We follow aDevSecOpsapproach with full ownership from development to production. Automation security and quality are built into how we deliver. Our applications run on Azure are modular and API-driven and integrate with platforms like Snowflake. Front-end applications are built in .
Position & Requirements
As a Junior/Medior.NET Developeryoullwork on applications used daily by investment professionals.Youllcontribute to real features from the start and be part of a team that buildsmaintainsand runs software end-to-end. Depending on your experienceyoullgrow from learning core engineering practices to taking ownership of solutions and driving improvements.
Youllgain hands-on experience with cloud development on AzureDevSecOpspractices automated testing and CI/CD helping deliver reliable and scalable software.
This role is ideal if you want to grow as a developer in a practical high-impact environment where you not only write code but learn how to build andoperatesoftware that truly matters.
Candidate Profile:
- Education:A bachelors ormasters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- Programming Skills:Basic knowledge and C#. Familiarity with object-oriented principles and willingness to learn SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Frontend Basics:Interest in modern frameworks like Angular or React (experience is a plus nota must).
- Testing Awareness:Understanding ofwhy automated testing matters; exposure to tools likexUnitorNUnitis a bonus.
- Cloud & DevOps Interest:Enthusiasm to learn about Azure services CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
- Mindset:Curious proactive and eager toworkinan Agile environment withScrum Ceremonies such asDailyStandupsRefinementandRetrospective.
- Language Proficiency:Proficient in both Dutch and English (written and spoken).
