We are looking for aBattery Engineerto join an innovative team working onnext-generationbatteries in Eindhoven.

You will contribute to the development of advanced battery solutions such assolid-state batteries and high-voltage lithium/sodium systems helping to accelerate the globalenergy transition. The team operates at the intersection ofresearch engineering and industrial application working closely with both academic and industry partners.

In this role you will be part of a multidisciplinary environment where experimentation innovation and real-world application come together. Your work will directly contribute to making future battery technologiesmore efficient scalable and cost-effective.

Battery Engineer Next-Generation Energy Storage

Main responsibilities

  • Design and executeexperimentsto support the development of next-generation battery technologies
  • Develop and optimisemanufacturing processes including innovative approaches such asdry electrode coating
  • Set up maintain and improvelaboratory equipment and test environments
  • Assemble and testcoin cells and multi-layer pouch cells
  • Performelectrochemical physical and material analyses(e.g. EDX cycling EIS SEM XRF)
  • Develop and refinebattery formation and conditioning protocols
  • Analyse results and translate findings intopractical improvements and insights
  • Present results to internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute toinnovation and intellectual property (IP) development



Requirements

Experience & expertise

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. materials science chemistry physics or engineering)
  • At least2 years of experiencein research & development settings inbattery technology.
  • Hands-on experience withdry electrode coatingcell assembly andelectrochemical testing of coin and pouch batteries.

Personal profile

  • Proactive and curious mindset with a strong drive to innovate
  • Hands-on and practical with the ability to organise and execute experiments independently
  • Analytical and critical thinker able to translate data into insights
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent inEnglish
