IT Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
This role is responsible for developing new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques. As a part of software cloud engineering team the role designs builds and manages cloud systems and infrastructure including software services and solutions designed for flexibility scalability and resiliency to support current and future business needs in automated repeatable way.

Responsibilities
Works with the software engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization.
Plans designs and develops cloud-based applications.
Manages cloud environments in accordance with the organizations security guidelines.
Deploys and debugs cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Partners with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.
Executes job using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach and supports continuous integration and continuous deployment patterns.
Develops processes for enforcing cloud governance architecture operating procedures monitoring and system standards.
Responds to incidents owns them and drives to completion participates in root cause analysis.
Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
Leads moderate to high complexity projects delivering professionally written reports and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.



Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 4-7 years of work experience preferably in distributed & cloud computing software & cloud design programming languages agile development methodologies or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
