Maintenance and Controls Engineer Group Leader
Job Summary
Job Description
Ensure the operation continuous improvement and reliability of the plants automated systems through the design programming integration and maintenance of industrial control solutions guaranteeing safety efficiency and operational availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop program and optimize automation and control systems (PLCs HMIs robots sensors actuators).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot failures in automated equipment production lines and control systems.
- Integrate and maintain industrial robots (programming path development routines and safety systems).
- Manage and improve industrial networks (EtherNet/IP PROFINET DeviceNet ControlNet etc.).
- Implement improvements based on Lean Manufacturing principles and waste reduction initiatives.
- Execute automation projects from design through commissioning and startup.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and applicable regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance production and quality teams to ensure operational continuity.
- Document changes updates and configurations to maintain traceability.
- Train technical personnel in the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
Required Technical Knowledge
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Siemens Omron or others).
- Integration and programming of industrial robots (Fanuc ABB KUKA etc.).
- Design and maintenance of industrial networks.
- Interpretation of electrical pneumatic and control diagrams.
- SCADA systems HMI platforms and industrial databases.
- Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Functional safety knowledge (preferred: ISO 13849 ANSI/RIA).
- Failure analysis methodologies FMEA 8D and RCA.
- On-Site: This position requires full-time on-site work.
- Shift Schedule: 4x3 (100% on-site work)
Candidate Profile
- Bachelors degree in Mechatronics Engineering Automation Engineering Industrial Control Engineering or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems.
- Strong focus on safety operational discipline and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- English proficiency: conversational intermediate level.
- Two or more years of experience in the field.
