Job Summary
Report directly to the Senior M&E Manager.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) cost estimates and budget forecasts for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works.
Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Manage M&E cost control contract administration and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of variation orders cost negotiations with clients consultants and subcontractors and the finalization of project accounts.
Coordinate and maintain effective communication with clients consultants subcontractors and suppliers.
Support the Senior M&E Manager in conducting cost analyses benchmarking exercises and preparing M&E-related correspondence and reports.
Administer and maintain project documentation and document control processes at the headquarters level.
Review and evaluate contractors and subcontractors progress claims.
Prepare project claim schedules and coordinate tender submissions.
Assist the Contract Department in the preparation and certification of M&E progress claims.
Lead the preparation compilation and submission of tender documents within stipulated deadlines.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry particularly in cost estimation budgeting tendering quantity take-off and contract administration.
Strong knowledge of M&E costing tender management and commercial processes.
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Self-driven proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
Proven capability in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients consultants contractors and other stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools.
Experience with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
Required Skills:
Masters degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering Materials Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of industrial R&D experience in metal processing alloy development refining melting casting or related metallurgical applications. Strong expertise in alloy development process optimization and scaling laboratory research to industrial production. Solid knowledge of metallurgical processes material characterization and manufacturing practices. Excellent technical writing analytical problem-solving and project management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
