Job Summary

  • Help produce performance metrics for highly complex products and processes and guide the team in meeting the quality goals set by management (e.g. DPQL Total Quality) in line with industry standards such as ISO IPC AS and TL.
  • Head Quality Improvement Programs (QIP) that address large-scale highly complex customer requirements and expectations.
  • Coach and train personnel in quality management and quality improvement practices supporting succession development.
  • Resolve difficult customer issues promptly and effectively using quality tools such as root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and support across areas including analysis of nonconforming materials customer return material authorizations (RMAs) ESD compliance customer and third-party audits and quality system administration covering documentation change control corrective and preventive actions and calibration.
  • Support new customer qualification and new product introduction through supplier assessments and first article inspections and oversee the creation of product documentation for moderate- to high-risk products and programs.


Requirements
  • At least 10 years of related experience within a Quality Engineering department currently at Manager or Department Head level.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality metrics ISO standards and processes.
  • Solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing processes and controls including Statistical Process Control (SPC) 5S and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Excellent command of quality management tools including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and the development of Quality Control Plans.
  • Strong project management skills. Able to coordinate a wide range of resources to meet production quality and quantity targets.
  • Communicates effectively with a broad range of internal and external customers.
  • Able to lead manage train and motivate a diverse team to achieve high output within tight deadlines in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment. Proficient in some or all of the following: Google Apps Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes.
