Job Summary

1. Financial Reporting & Closing
Lead and oversee the monthly and annual financial closing process ensuring the accuracy completeness and timely issuance of financial statements for the Malaysia entity.
Prepare comprehensive management and board reports including detailed financial analysis variance reporting and trend assessments to facilitate informed strategic decision-making.
2. Regulatory Compliance Audit & Tax Management
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and all relevant statutory requirements.
Manage and coordinate annual statutory audits tax compliance matters and engagements with external auditors tax consultants banking institutions and company secretaries to maintain regulatory compliance.
3. Budgeting Forecasting & Internal Control
Lead the annual budgeting cycle rolling forecast exercises and cash flow planning while monitoring financial performance against budgets and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Develop implement and continuously enhance internal control frameworks ensuring effective risk management process integrity and asset protection.
4. Business Partnering & Financial Analysis
Collaborate closely with sales operations and cross-functional teams to provide value-added financial insights including product costing customer profitability analysis and inventory optimization initiatives.
Review commercial agreements from a financial perspective and assess the viability and return potential of new business initiatives investments and strategic projects.
5. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead coach and develop the finance team by establishing clear performance objectives KPIs and development plans.
Foster a high-performance culture that enhances technical competency operational efficiency collaboration and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Requirements
1. Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or higher in Accounting Finance Commerce or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as MIA ACCA CPA CIMA or equivalent accounting qualifications are highly preferred.
2. Relevant Experience
Minimum 37 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting with at least 23 years in a supervisory managerial or team leadership capacity.
Prior experience in the manufacturing industry multinational corporations (MNCs) or fast-paced business environments will be an added advantage.
Proven track record in managing full-spectrum accounting financial reporting budgeting and compliance functions.
3. Technical & Professional Competencies
Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) taxation regulations Companies Act requirements and statutory compliance.
Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics Kingdee or similar financial management platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP financial analysis and data reporting.
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) financial modeling budgeting forecasting and business performance analysis.
Strong analytical thinking problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
4. Communication & Leadership Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin with the ability to effectively engage with regional teams headquarters business stakeholders and external parties.
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Commercially minded with strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business recommendations.
High level of integrity professionalism accountability and commitment to continuous improvement.


Required Skills:

Minimum 35 years of experience in project management and manufacturing operations or possession of a PMP certification/training qualification. Candidates with an engineering background and prior experience in the medical device industry will have an added advantage. Strong understanding of project management and operational processes with proven ability to manage day-to-day project activities milestone reviews project evaluations and progress reporting effectively. Demonstrated capability in problem identification root cause analysis issue tracking and resolution management with the ability to lead project teams in driving project progress and ensuring timely delivery of objectives. Excellent communication planning and coordination skills coupled with strong cost awareness and analytical thinking. Proficient in both English and Chinese reading comprehension with advanced competency in Microsoft Office applications.


Required Education:

Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Electronics Automation & Control Engineering Software Engineering Computer Science Bioengineering Clinical Medicine or other related disciplines.
