As we enter a strategic scale-up phase in Malaysia we are seeking a commercially astute Business Development Director to take full ownership of our local strategy market expansion and financial performance.

This role is designed for an entrepreneurial executive. You will lead the commercial team optimize profitability and capture tier-1 enterprise market share. For a high-performer this mandate offers a direct accelerated path to the top country leadership position.

Your Mission (Key Focus Areas)

  • Commercial & P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for the Malaysian business units financial health. You will drive commercial excellence optimize Gross Margins and Operating Profits and make data-driven pivots to scale revenue.

  • Ecosystem & Strategic Alliances: Leverage an elite active executive network within the local tech ecosystemspecifically with major global cloud hyperscalers and platform providers. You possess the relationship capital to instantly align at the C-suite level for co-selling initiatives.

  • High-Performance Leadership: Modernize and lead a local team of commercial professionals. Cultivate an execution-focused high-morale culture aligned with regional growth targets.

  • Strategic Expansion: Identify new vectors for growth including high-margin enterprise accounts and potential cross-border regional service capabilities.



Requirements

The Ideal Profile

  • The Network: Unrivaled deeply established relationships with leadership teams at major global tech platforms/hyperscalers and large enterprise clients in Malaysia.

  • The Commercial Mindset: A proven track record of managing a P&L and scaling a technology corporate advisory or digital services business. Deep technical engineering certifications are not required; we value commercial and strategic brilliance.

  • Communication: Business-level fluency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively present strategic growth plans and align with regional APAC stakeholders.

  • The Persona: A data-driven strategic leader who balances high commercial ambition with a collaborative ego-free approach to team leadership.
