Job Summary
The role of the Driver position is to support the transportation operation that includes covering the movements of the staff and any other official movements assigned to the driver by the fleet management team. The Driver is responsible to drive manage and administer the vehicle to provide safe and efficient transport all the time.
Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
Adhere to NRC policies tools handbooks and guidelines.
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Promote and share ideas for improvement.
Perform according to the work and development plan.
Transport NRC staff visitors documents and goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved
Ensure the safety and security of the passengers the goods and the vehicle
Immediately report accidents breakdowns and needs of repair and general maintenance/service
Respect the local traffic regulations and the NRC logistical/vehicle policies at all times
Specific responsibilities
Maintain the logbook for all trips and ensure that all movements are registered accurately using the needed tools such as EFS (E-Fleet system) and the tablets.
Cover responsibilities on daily basis as per the duty roster which includes covering the camps Band C duty shifts.
Maintain the vehicle in proper operating condition at all times including keeping the vehicle clean ensuring enough fuel checking the technical state etc and report any issues found directly to the LM.
In liaison with the line manager arrange for repairs and servicing
Ensure the assigned vehicle has all the necessary documents and equipment
Provide logistical support during trainings and workshops
Liaise with field logistics and programme staff to ensure covering NRC operations in smooth way and to support the logistics and other departments in loading/off-loading materials when needed.

Qualifications
Professional Competencies
Generic professional competencies for this position:
Experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
Sufficient knowledge of the different routes in Jordan and the ability to travel to all the locations among Jordan including access the refugee camps.
Documented results related to the positions responsibilities.
Some knowledge of English.
Context/specific skills knowledge and experience:
Qualification requirement: Tawjihi or equivalent Years of Experience: 5
