The General Support Specialist Amenities Runner is responsible for delivering guest amenities VIP welcome gifts and In-Room Dining orders with exceptional attention to detail professionalism and refined service. This role plays a vital part in creating memorable guest experiences by ensuring all deliveries reflect the luxury standards and personalized service culture of The St. Regis. The position ensures each item is accurately prepared visually appealing and meets the highest presentation standards prior to delivery. Responsibilities include setting up amenities and dining orders in guest rooms according to established service guidelines providing courteous and discreet service during every interaction and efficiently handling special requests while communicating guest preferences to the appropriate departments. The role also requires close coordination with the kitchen butler service housekeeping and front office to ensure seamless service delivery maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment adhering to all safety and security procedures when entering guest rooms upholding Forbes-level standards at all times and supporting the In-Room Dining team during peak periods as needed.
No matter what position you are in there are a few things that are critical to success ensuring a safe work place following company policies and procedures maintaining confidentiality upholding quality standards and ensuring your uniform personal appearance and communications are professional. Runners will be on their feet and moving around (stand sit or walk for an extended time; move through narrow confined or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps) ensure they have what they need to do their work (read and visually verify information in a variety of formats including small print; visually inspect tools equipment or machines) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping). Doing all of these things well and other reasonable job duties as requested is critical for Runners to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
