An associate degree or an apprenticeship in carpentry Creativity and design skills Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns Joinery or cabinet-making skills

Maintaining water systems and drains Inspecting, cleaning, adjusting and repairing equipment when necessary Installing and repairing equipment when required Carrying out minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical work Coordinating outside vendor repairs.
