Job Description

This is a remote position.

Supports the Director and External Accountants in the performance of their duties;

Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks);

Record daytoday financial transactions including purchases sales receipts and payments;

Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded;

Prepare and send invoices to clients and customers in a timely manner;

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable;

Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients for payment;

Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of wages and deductions;

Generate financial reports such as balance sheets profit and loss statements and cash flow statements;

Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses against budgeted amounts;

Prepare and file necessary tax forms and ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations;

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure security of financial data;

Collaborate with other members of the finance team to improve financial processes and procedures;

Supports the Director with Administrative tasks including but not limited to email and calendar management word document presentations etc;



Requirements

The role s minimum skills include:

At least 3 years experience in Bookkeeping or accounting;
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel;
Intermediate Word and Excel skills;
High attention to detail;
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills or Qualifications:
Accounting degree;
Experience working for an American company;
Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification;
Well honed bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills.
