Overview:

The role of a Tele counselor is vital to our organization as they are the first point of contact for individuals seeking our services. Tele counselors play a crucial role in providing information support and guidance to clients through phone calls emails and other virtual platforms. They are responsible for assessing client needs providing counseling services or referrals and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients via phone calls and other communication channels.
  • Assess clients needs and provide appropriate counseling or referrals.
  • Offer support and guidance to clients experiencing emotional distress or seeking advice.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all client interactions and outcomes.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless client support.
  • Stay updated on relevant resources and services to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in counseling practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Psychology Counseling Social Work or related field.
  • Proven experience in counseling or a related field.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Empathy and an understanding of diverse client needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills when addressing client concerns.
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques and ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using telecommunication technologies and software for documentation.
  • Certification or licensure in counseling or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment (preferred).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (preferred).
