Job Purpose

As a Senior System Engineer in Soldo, you will play a critical role in managing systems for our entire company.

• Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems.
  
• Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications.
  
• Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications.
  
• Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management to provide a high level of service to the departments customers.
  

Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of experience working in IT
  
• in setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of pertinent information for the management/monitoring of projects
  
• Change management and incident response experience
  
• Installation, configuration, server administration, creation of scripts and automatic tasks, updates
  
• SOX controls and audit experience a plus
  
• Experience with agile project methodologies such as short-cycle sprint planning and scrum.
  

Attributes

• Excellent knowledge of various operating systems: Linux RHEL, Linux Centos, Unix in general
  
• Excellent knowledge of various Databases: MySQL, Postgresql, Oracle, NoSQL. (around DBA level)
  
• Excellent knowledge in Networking (routing protocols like BGP, OSPF), VPN systems, Firewalls, IPS/IDS and experience on projects of network virtualization
  
• Excellent knowledge in packet analysis
  
• Excellent knowledge of Secure Protocols and encryption
  
• Knowledge of IT Security infrastructures and problems induced by IT security vulnerabilities and methodologies to prevent/mitigate them
  
• Knowledge of performance monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog, Dynatrace, NewRelic, AppDynamics
  
• Excellent knowledge of Tomcat, Springboot, Jenkins, Java, ELK stack, Docker, Kubernetes and scripting languages (perl, python, bash, powershell)
  
• Knowledge of service management tools and methodologies
  
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as a code tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.
  
• Good knowledge of AWS (preferred), Azure and GCP public cloud infrastructures and automation techniques.
  
• Development of SLA and OLA control reporting and KPI measurement.
  
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex systems to business team members
