Job Description

  • Local training providers (host partner organizations): these will receive the training through a Training of Trainers (TOT) program and will be represented by their (trainers) in order to build their capacity on delivering the training in the future and sustain the knowledge locally.
  • Informal waste pickers: individuals who collect the most common recyclables (khorda) on foot and/or by pushcart/trolleys, from streets or containers and/or commercial shops and operate mainly in densely populated areas such as city centers or work across the entire waste value chain in both the private and informal sectors including the following groups: street waste pickers, itinerant buyers, scrap dealers, second-hand workshops workers (sorter, processors, etc.…) and other disadvantaged groups as women, elderly people, sometimes people with disabilities or persons who are unable to make ends meet or people who have had temporary difficulties due to loss of employment as youth.
