Job Description

Lakeside HR Group is looking for a contract Sr. HR Generalist / HR Business Partner (HRBP) for a Twin Cities-based Medical Device company. The company was founded in 2017 and has experienced high growth in the last couple of years. This role will be approximately 20 hours / week in their Maple Grove office.

The HRBP will be responsible for building and support the HR function including, but not limited to, employee relations, developing an employee handbook, establishing a performance management process, coaching employees, recruiting, onboarding, HR compliance, training and development and other HR support as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years as a HR Generalist preferably in a start-up or small to mid-size company
  • Med-device or healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
