About the role
Give Grants works with corporates and helps them maximize the social impact of their CSR grants. As part of the grant making process, corporate CSR teams need to evaluate multiple NGO project proposals (many of which are for infrastructure development) and their associated budgets. This role requires the candidate to bring their procurement domain expertise in civil construction to review the proposals (including pricing and budgets), and aid our clients in driving complete and effective civil construction related CSR projects..
You will be responsible for
- analyzing NGO project proposals requiring electrical work for infrastructure development
- reviewing procurement for civil construction work and associated budget proposals submitted by NGOs and ensuring projects are appropriately priced in accordance with published schedule of rates
- highlight gaps in BOQ (quality, quantity, specifications, price) and make recommendations as needed
- Ensuring commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all the procurement transactions
- working with client teams, internal stakeholders and NGOs to drive cost effectiveness of relevant CSR projects
You will be successful if you are/have
- Civil engineer from an accredited college or university
- 4+ years relevant experience as a procurement engineer in infra/construction projects experience / knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a skill in reading the market
- ability to negotiate and influence backed by well-researched data
- aptitude for decision-making and working with numbers
- experience in collecting and analyzing data
- willingness to work from client location as a part of their extended CSR team
- comfort with working under tight deadlines
