We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef or Head chef for a client of ours based in Wombwell.

Our client is a special education needs centre who requires a Chef who can start immediately for a period of 4/6 weeks this also has potential to lead to perm.

**For this role you MUST have an in date Enhanced DBS for Childrens workforce please only apply if you have this**

You will be ensuring the delivery of highquality nutritious meals that meet the needs of our students and staff. You will lead a small team of kitchen staff and work closely with our catering service provider to maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan prepare and serve nutritious and appealing meals to students and staff.
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen staff providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to all food safety regulations.
  • Manage food inventory ordering and stock control.
  • Create menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the catering service provider to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor food costs and manage the budget effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive dining environment for students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role.
  • Culinary qualifications and relevant certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Creativity in menu planning and meal preparation.
  • A passion for delivering highquality meals to students and staff.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a quality fine dining establishment Knowledge of front of house, restaurant, bar, and cellar operations Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of food and beverage trends, and the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences
