    Job Title: IT Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

    Location: Remote (Eastern Standard Time working hours)

We are currently seeking a talented IT Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:

  • System Stability and Performance:
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operational processes.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for efficient and consistent infrastructure deployment.
  • Incident Response and Problem Resolution:
  • Respond to incidents promptly, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Analyze system capacity and plan for future growth by collaborating with development and business teams.
  • Propose and implement scalability improvements to accommodate increasing workloads.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
  • Ensure systems and applications comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
  • On-Call Support:
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents outside regular working hours.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) is a plus.
  • IT Networking Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level networks.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and secure network configurations.
