In light of the anticipated need for a 50% increase in food production by 2030 to support a global population nearing 9 billion coupled with the demands for 45% more energy and 30% more water all while reducing emissions we are dedicated to narrowing the agricultural yield gap and reducing the carbon footprint of this sector which is currently responsible for 30% of global emissions. Our operations have expanded to Myanmar and Cambodia where we have partnered with over 2500 farmers across 9000 hectares. Our commitment extends beyond immediate climate action to fostering rural prosperity with an ambitious goal to influence the practices of 100000 farmers in Southeast Asia within five years positioning us as a leader in sustainable agricultural solutions in the region.

At our core we are driven by the imperative to significantly increase food production by 2050 to achieve netzero emissions a challenge compounded by the struggles faced by 500 million smallholder farmers worldwide. These farmers who are responsible for producing 30% of the worlds food are increasingly burdened by rising fuel and fertilizer prices and soil degradation. Our mission is to enact meaningful change that not only benefits the environment but also supports the livelihoods of these essential contributors to the global food supply. As a Finance Head you will be a critical link between our financial operations and our strategic goals working closely with the CEO Country Directors and our vibrant team. Your expertise will be pivotal in providing deep financial insights through diligent business partnering sophisticated forecasting and budgeting and strategic pricing and incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements offering crucial reporting to senior management.
• Support senior management by providing financial modeling consolidating accounts analyzing pricing and managing procurement and ordering schedules.
• Develop and document robust business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls across our entities.
• Lead local finance teams in identifying risks and opportunities guiding them to mitigate risks and seize growth opportunities.
• Coordinate and oversee the budgeting process reporting on variances to steer the company towards its financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) across various accounting systems.
• Manage the preparation of regulatory and tax reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Business Finance or Accounting or a CPA qualification.
• At least 7 years of combined experience in accounting and finance with a proven track record in a growing startup environment.
• Expertise in Excel and a proven ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial modeling.
• Proficiency in financial software applications such as QuickBooks.
• Exceptional communication skills in English both verbal and written with the ability to work effectively across functions.
