Shopify Front End Developer Intern

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to understand the project scope and objectives
• Translate design wireframes into Shopify themes using HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Implement custom Shopify themes templates and liquid programming
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure crossbrowser and crossdevice compatibility
• Integrate thirdparty apps and platforms such as payment gateways shipping providers and marketing tools
• Conduct website testing and troubleshooting
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
• Assist in the development and implementation of SEO best practices
• Collaborate with back end developers to improve website functionality
• Participate in team meetings and provide input for website improvements
• Assist in the documentation of technical specifications and requirements
• Support the maintenance and ongoing optimization of websites
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding coding and security

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Web Development or related field
• Proficiency in HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with Shopify Liquid templating language
• Knowledge of responsive design and development principles
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Strong portfolio demonstrating front end development projects
• Understanding of crossbrowser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Experience with web performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and tools
• Experience working with ecommerce projects is a plus
