General Description:

As the Director of Sales, you are responsible for planning and implementing sales strategies and programs to exceed the company s short and long-term sales goals. You will manage sales team members, focus on sales analytics to drive positive sales results, and drive new business growth through new accounts and market segments. As the Director of Sales, you will also collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer, Director of Sales Operations, and other senior company leadership (Executives, Directors, Managers) to build systems and programs to ensure the company can exceed customer expectations and increase sales volume.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage assigned sales team members to include sales reps, account managers, or inside sales reps.

o Identify talent needs across the sales organization and collaborate with industry resources, HR, and internal teams to hire for open positions.

o Create onboarding and training programs to meet the needs of new hires and existing employees. Focus on filling gaps that may exist within the company or product knowledge along with selling techniques and best practices.

o Proactively manage the performance of assigned employees through goal setting and performance management.

o Create a regular cadence of sales communication and knowledge sharing to drive better performance.

Conceive, create, manage, and report out sales analytics, working closely with internal accounting team members.

o Lead understanding and adherence to the sales funnel concept, assisting reps to manage their funnel and tracking funnel activity for roll-up reporting.

o Work with the CCO and executive team to develop key customer statistics. Understand the source behind the data, using BI or other tools as necessary. Track those statistics on an agreed upon basis. Current statistics include new customers closed, new activity levels, sales funnel status.

o Report out sales statistics, drawing conclusions and responding to the data.

o Actively participate in the annual budgeting process to ensure the most accurate sales budget possible by customer, type of work, and production location.

o Creating presentation slides as necessary

Drive the generation of new business for the company.

o Maximize industry contacts to generate new business prospects for the company.

o Manage sales personnel to generate business at their existing accounts and sell into new accounts.

o Analyze new markets for the company. Collaborate with CCO, executives, and marketing on collateral for new markets and train sales personnel on those markets.

o Analyze new products for the company. Collaborate with CCO, executives, and marketing on collateral for new products and train sales personnel on those products.

o Participate in trade shows, customer events, and other sales generation activities.

o Assist with the launch of a national Inside Sales initiative.

Additional duties as required.



Requirements

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

College degree preferred in business, sales, or marketing.

At least 10 years of experience in sales management and new business development.

At least 10 years of experience in pressure sensitive label business and/or Flexible Packaging.

Valid driver s license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Exceptional communication skills.

Driven, hard worker, capable of handling multiple priorities.

Proactive problem solver.

Proven people management skills and demonstrated ability to improve sales results.

Experience with a sales tracking / sales metrics program (such as sales force) preferred.

Must be a data driven manager.

Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel and proficient with computer applications.

Travel estimated at 50%.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will supervise various sales team members.
