(Senior) UX / UI Designer for a Tech Startup (80-100% - diverse)

Axelra is a tech venture builder based in Zurich that accelerates digital business models for enterprises and startups.

We are building together with our partner MDO-Skin a joint tech venture startup (GiGTech) that builds an integrated social commerce platform and ecosystem with micro-entrepreneurs.

We are looking for a (Senior) UX / UI Designer to lead and operationally tackle the digital product and ensure that the user experience for our target audience is simple, fresh and nice.

Tasks

As a UX / UI Designer you are responsible for the UX of the digital products at GiGTech. You will work with customers, Axelrators and end users to iteratively design, conceptualize and improve the digital products / services in the form of native mobile apps, portals (progressive web apps) and notification channels.

• You are responsible for the UX & UI and thus conception and design of digital products (mobile, portals, apps or SaaS).
• You cover the range of requirements analysis, conception, design, measurability and improvement with your well-founded methods, skillset and wealth of experience
• You implement tangible wireframes and prototypes iteratively and in teamwork, creating pattern libraries and fleshed-out designs.
• You are used to working in a startup and corporate environment and excel with fast results and a lot of experience.
• You make sure that you can develop yourself as well as the people who work with you and that they enjoy it.
• You challenge your environment (employees to board), coordinate with them, find and convince with new solutions and ways that you then implement together iteratively.

Requirements

The ideal candidate can see the big picture, is creative and organized, communicative, and excited about the opportunity to become an integral member of a tight, but growing team.

• UX / UI Lead of at least 2 tech ventures / startups with complex user interfaces (applications - not websites or campaign pages) or relevant service provider / agency experience.
• Strong sense of UX (usability, interaction design) with solid understanding of technical feasibility and digital technologies.
• Proficiency with common tools such as Sketch as well as rapid protoyping tools and interaction visualization tools.
• Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.
• Structured and comprehensible way of working.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Completed studies in information, media, communication design or or a CAS / MAS HCID (Human Computer Interaction and Design) or a comparable, UX-specific education / certification is an advantage. However, experience is more important to us.
