Responsibilities of Senior System Engineer

Develop and maintain Linux kernel for embedded systems

Work on customizing Linux kernel to meet specific requirements of the project Job Description System Engineer Linux kernel AirFi India (Version 1.0)

Work on Buildroot Yocto and openWRT to create custom Linux distributions

Work on shell scripting and automation of Linux kernel build and test process

Work with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement new features

Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand and address hardwarespecific issues

Travel internationally as required

Design implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP/OSPF VPN IPv4/IPv6 and Firewall

Evaluate or review queries to extract data create standard procedures or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported

Perform complex migrations from development to production upgrades installations and configurations

Make decisions in security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions

Requirements for Senior System Engineer

Minimum 28 yrs of experience in C/C and multithreading programming

Experience on OpenWRT Buildroot or Yocto

Strong experience in Linux kernel development and maintenance

Strong experience in shell scripting

Experience working with hardware schematics

Experience in routing protocols such as BGP/OSPF VPN IPv4/IPv6 and Firewall
