Senior Software Engineer - Data in Platform

We are looking for a senior software engineer to join our data in platform team in Stockholm. We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas from a lot of different areas such as distributed computing largescale system design and architecture frontend development and UI design. Our engineering department

We put a strong emphasis on team collaboration we work in crossfunctional teams where you are not handed requirements but rather problems to solve. You engage and take responsibility for your part of the product with your peers.

Learning is central to us. We work with small iterations and deploy to production several times a day.

• Python
• Rust
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• React
• Microservice architecture in AWS

What you will do

The team youll join takes care of the central parts of our products platform and mainly works with backend engineering. This is a group of friendly senior engineers who love working together (as a pair or mob)as well as closeknit collaboration with other development teams in the organization.

The team is heavily invested in a microservice architecture in AWS and juggles some 50 services daily. Making a small change here can have a great impact on cost and performance in the overall system of Funnel. The team makes decisions together and has a lot of freedom in deciding how to do their work best.

Here at Funnel our senior engineers are responsible for everything from designing architecture to deployment monitoring and implementation of code. We believe in putting the customer at the heart of everything we do designing our product to address their needs and exceed their expectations.

We expect you to follow engineering best practices and stay up to date with the latest technologies in the area. You enjoy collaborating with adjacent departments such as design product and customers.

Skills and Experience

• Around 10 years of experience in different programming languages and systems and you enjoy trying out new technologies

• Rust (private projects are ok)

• AWS a deep understanding and permissions are the most important

• System design and system architecture

• Good understanding of system security

• Proven experience with distributed systems

• Handson experience in agile teams and ways of working

• Fluent in English

This role is located in Stockholm. We value inperson collaboration in the office and as such we work the majority of the time from our offices.
