Senior Quality Engineer

About the Job

• Reviews Requirements and understand design of the system to be implemented
• Designs, Writes and reviews test cases and test scripts
• Executes assigned test cases and cross test on other stories
• Logs issues and tracks them until closure
• Reports test execution status to Principle/Lead
• Communicates with the Scrum Master/Principle/Lead tasks issues & schedule
• Ability to understand new testing techniques, technologies, tools & the ability to apply them
• Takes higher ownership for the tasks and duties assigned
• Consolidates other team member tasks
• Performs impact analysis
• Coaches and supports Junior QE and QE

Job Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science disciplines.
• Years of experience required: 4+ Years
• Formal education or a recognized certification in testing (e.g. ITI Software testing track, ISTQB, etc.)
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Being highly disciplined, organized, and having an eye for detail.
• Experience in testing the following is highly desired: Web Applications, Database, Mobile Apps, backend REST APIs, performance/load testing. (At least {3 of them}.)
• Knowledge in any of the following tools is a plus: Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, or Jmeter.
• Prior experience in testing automation is required.
• Solid understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, and change control tools such as Jira.
• Proven ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Self-driven and proactive spirit.
• High communication and critical thinking skills.
• Good command of English.
