We are VR Smart Guide - we enable entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals to follow their real passion by taking the administrative and bureaucratic workload from them. From writing invoices to tax reports, with our digital solution, built by a multidisciplinary, heterogeneous team with a lot of passion and drive, we make a difference on how small businesses operate.

Our headquarter is located close to Frankfurt, but we live a hybrid working culture with strong remote structures. Providing the "Bahncard 100" we support gatherings and onsite meetings from our HQ.

Your mission

• Using qualitative and quantitative methods of user research (e.g. surveys or interviews), you analyze user needs and develop design accordingly
• You create concepts and visualize them using mockups, storyboards, flowcharts, information architectures, wireframes, as well as interactive prototypes (Lo- and Hi-Fi), etc. and validate them with interviews and usability tests (also in cooperation with our partners)
• You design user interfaces taking into account existing design guidelines, trends and paradigms as well as usability guidelines and prepare them for the developers
• You create and maintain pattern libraries and design systems for a consistent appearance of the user interface
• You conduct (design thinking) workshops and thereby drive innovation and collaborative work in the team.

Your profile

• University degree in the field of communication design, interaction design, interactive media, human-computer interaction, psychology or similar; or comparable qualification acquired in practice
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product development
• The human-centered design process is more than a buzzword for you
• You have a flair for good design and bring a good dose of empathy for users
• Confident handling of Sketch and the Adobe Creative Cloud or other tools
• Experienced in prototyping, for example with Invision or Axure is desirable
• Experience in an agile development environment is an advantage but not a must
• You confidently present your concepts and ideas and are open to feedback from the team and customers
• You are interested in the finance and fintech industry and like to have your finger on the pulse of design and technology
• You are fluent in English
