Senior Business Intelligence Developer Looker

We are currently seeking a Senior Looker ML developer. As a BI Dev you will play a crucial role in implementing improving and maintaining Looker in both the client data products and within other client environments. You will also be part of a team that applies advanced analytics and data mining capabilities for the benefit of enterprise customers and play a significant role in the implementation maintenance and continuous improvement of these systems and processes to achieve business needs.

Tasks

Business Analysis:

• Develop Looker visualizations that inform analysis and decision making.
• Partner with business teams to gather document and maintain business requirements that will inform data modeling decisions relevant data features and KPIs.
• Lead user story workshops for the definition of use cases business analysis and requirements gathering.
• Translate business requirements into process/system functional requirements and identify/assess potential data source(s).
• Deliver functional scope analysis and detailed solution design of the processes and reporting systems and partner with developers on data requirements needed to support the build of data models.
• Ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements.
• Leads or assist with end user training.
• Execute thorough testing of enhanced or added system functionality.
• Lead QA and testing efforts.
• Participate in release management and change management initiatives.
• Participate in the construction of a strategic roadmap for business intelligence and analytics across the enterprise.

Organization and Documentation:

• Ensure project documents are complete thorough accurate current and stored appropriately.
• Maintain project plans and task lists for self in an organized fashion.
• Create detailed epics stories feature specs that meet business criteria.
• Write and execute effective test plans and test cases manage requirements traceability document test results track defects and work with developers to resolve issues.

Customer Satisfaction:

• Build strong relationships with our business partners and work collaboratively in a crossfunctional matrix environment.
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationships.
• Communicate project status and application issues to necessary stakeholders and supervisor.
• Manages customer expectations effectively.
• Operate in an agile development environment with rapid iterative releases.

Requirements

(Mandatory)

• Bachelors degree from a fouryear College or university in Business Computer Science Technology or related field.
• Looker ML certification
• 3 years of experience with Looker
• SQL proficiency
• C1 English level
• Passionate about data quality and consistency.
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail ability to multitask troubleshoot and problem solve along with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis are extremely important.
• Must possess excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills.
• Must be naturally able to exert influence drive and steer stakeholders in the right direction.
• Proven demonstrated capability in gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and plan effectively in order to meet deadlines.

(Plus)

• Experience with cloudbased analytical platforms (AWS GCP Azure).
• Experience with data science techniques / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience with integration models including API ETL and ELT.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Knowledge of and experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Familiar with retail merchandising wholesale planning and allocation systems or supply chain operations.
