Senior AI Engineer for Medical Image Analysis (m/f/d)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AI engineer to take a key role within our product development team and help us meaningfully change how medical ultrasound is used.

Your focus will be on the development of algorithms and MLmodels that process and analyze ultrasound signals and images. You will also be involved throughout the entire product development process. This begins with conception and planning continues with research and development of optimal models and extends to integration and testing of the solution.

Tasks

• Research and implement the latest AI and ML technologies with a focus on our application
• Stay updated with advancements in AI and ultrasound imaging to propose innovative solutions
• Implement deep learning algorithms to analyze and interpret ultrasound signals data and images
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers and team members
• Document your development process model architectures and results and prepare reports on key metrics and project milestones.
• Validate models against clinical requirements to ensure efficacy and safety and support the verification and evaluation of our models
• Help with integrating the latest models into our ultrasound software
• Develop implement and improve scalable machine learning and computer vision pipelines (e.g. segmentation classification etc.) including respective quality metrics
• Support software requirements engineering and contribute to architectural development
• Support the development of MLOPS procedures and automation of our machine learning pipelines
• Collaborate with quality assurance and quality management to ensure code quality and compliance of software development with relevant coding and regulatory standards
• Participate in testing sessions with the end users

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science Physics Engineering or related discipline or 5 years of equivalent working experience
• At least 4 years of experience in development of machine learning solutions
• Strong logical and analytical skills combined with troubleshooting and problemsolving experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience with agile development regarding processes tools and practices
• Must have: Python 3.x TensorFlow Pytorch NumPy Git
• Nice to have: JIRA Google Cloud Platform MongoDB MLOps procedures and Tools (e.g. neptuneai MLflow) Docker OpenVino ONNX

Success Measures:

• Within three months you will have:

• Familiarized yourself with our existing code baseML pipeline and models

• Helped with improving our current models accuracy

• Proposed and implemented first solutions to improve model performance

• Helped with fully automating our model pipeline and MLOPs processes

• Within six months you will have:

• Contributed to the substantial improvement of the models performance

• Contributed to the verification and validation of our first product before regulatory clearance

• Supported us with kickingoff a new and innovative ML project in the field of breast cancer therapy
