Security Assistant

The Security Assistant is responsible for directly assisting the Senior Security Officer.

• Contribute to the Security Risk Assessments within the mission area, notably in Camps and host communities in North of Jordan.
• Regularly communicate with the project teams while they are in the field and get updates regarding any safety and security issues.
• Regularly update Project Managers and Area Coordinators regarding the security situation in ACTED area of responsibility on a daily basis;
• Assist the project team directly on the field by accompanying them on the sites, performing regular security assessments so as to ensure that the security regulations are accurate.
• Assist the senior security officer in monitoring distribution activities by joining the program team in the field or the place where they conduct the distribution activity and monitoring security on site.
• Contribute to the implementation of security standard operating procedures in the field.
• Collect and report feedback from the projects team on safety/security issues and update the security officer where required.
