School Nurse Enfermera Escolar

The School Nurse consistently works towards outstanding performance across all professional standards ensuring safeguarding successful outcomes and the efficient and effective administrative operations.

He/she will work as part of the administrative team providing a friendly and welcoming service to students staff families and visitors in a manner that truly reflects the values of our school.

Expected Start Date: 01 February 2024

Tasks

The post holder is expected to be able to prioritise tasks and to manage their workload initiative and minimum supervision. The schools pursuit of excellence begins at our front gates and this role should actively seek to ensure an outstanding public perception of our operations and provision.

• Medical Campaigns and correspondence with parents
• Care and supervision of students in need of medical care
• Control and supply of medicines to all persons at the school.
• Accident control and Insurance claims. (Mutua)
• To register and maintain records of allergies and special nutritional requirements of all staff and students and liaising with the catering company.
• Support Uniform Shop and Health and Safety tasks
• General Administrative Support
• Organizing annual medical check ups for all staff
• Informing all staff of students with special medical needs

The above details are not exhaustive and the postholder may be required to undertake tasks roles and responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned to him/her by the Leadership Team.

Requirements

• High level of English and Spanish
• Flexible positive and cando attitude to work
• Medical training and experience
• Full understanding of Equal Opportunities and able to implement it in everyday practice.
• To communicate clearly and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
• To have excellent management skills and to be able to follow the schools disciplinary code.
