Overall Job Purpose:
A hands-on technical role predominantly in the SAP Logistics arena. You will be responsible for delivering technical capabilities and production support for supply chain processes within the Unipart Logistics business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver complex development components across SAP ERP MM, SD, WM, FI and PP modules and SAP eWM and SRM solutions.
Supporting functional consultants with the investigation and resolution of production support tickets.
Enhancement of SAP standard and Custom IDOCs, including development of new IDOC messages.
Development of Zebra Labels.
Performing technical unit testing of developments.
Provide solution recommendations and impact assessment during the delivery of projects, enhancements as well as incident fixes. Translating business requirements into appropriate technical
solution
Be responsible for the timely deliverables (including code, configuration, documentation, controls etc.) from projects to quality and cost by working closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Test Managers and other key individuals from within the project life-cycle.
With functional teams take ownership of problems, identifying solutions and managing them through their life-cycle.
Build and maintain relations with stakeholders throughout the extended IT organisation.
Identify cross-stream issues and risks during the development of solutions.
Responsible for prioritising and managing own workload.
Qualifications:
Essential
Educated to degree level Desirable
SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver.
Experience:
Essential
At least 4 years Abap experience.
The role expects the candidate to demonstrate a high level of technical understanding of the SAP landscape, its end-to-end architecture for custom developments including code, technical design, technical reviews, transport and deployment process,
integration & user interfaces etc.
Strong SAP Workbench development skills.
A comprehensive understanding of Abap objects concepts and development techniques.
Ability to challenge and explore design and delivery plans and apply different approaches to arrive at the most favorable options; uses good judgment to quickly make difficult decisions.
Understands the detailed solutions across the project paying particular attention to the integration across functional modules.
Has to be able to demonstrate non-technical skills such as planning, estimating, governance, tracking & reporting, risk & issue management.

o BAPI and Business Objects
o Workflow
o Business Warehouse
o Adobe (interactive) forms
o Standard ABAP reporting
o ALV Reporting
o BDC and direct input
o Transactional processing, screen handling, transaction integrity, success units, lock objects
o SAP enhancement projects, User Exits, BADIs and enhancement spots
o SAPScript, SMARTFORMS
o SAP support tools e.g. SAP Support Portal
Writing technical specifications and test scripts for enhancements and interfaces. Executing test scripts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working with SAP support teams to apply OSS notes and rectification activities.
Desirable
Experience of working with a UK office.
Experience of working with a Logistics Company.
Experience of working and developing with SAP Business Warehouse
Experience of working with Zebra Printer Language (ZPL)
