Overview
The Sales Team Leader in the insurance sector plays a crucial role in leading and managing a panIndia team to drive sales and achieve business objectives. This position is vital to the organizations success and requires a dynamic resultsdriven individual with strong leadership and sales management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and coach a panIndia sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share and increase revenue
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance evaluations for the team
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Handle escalated customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Monitor the competition and adjust strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to the senior management
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field
- Proven experience in sales and team leadership within the insurance sector
- Strong knowledge of insurance products industry trends and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance and meet targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- Ability to travel extensively to various locations within India
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools
- Leadership and coaching capabilities to inspire and motivate the team
- Understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the insurance industry
