Overview:

The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in the Edtech industry responsible for leading a team to drive sales and revenue growth. This position is vital in shaping the sales strategy building and maintaining customer relationships and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Note: This is equity role only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
  • Lead train and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Establish strong relationships with key clients understanding their needs and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop lead generation strategies and promotional materials.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasting and planning to ensure accurate inventory and resource allocation.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to generate leads and represent the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance and sales pipeline to senior management.
  • Oversee the negotiation and closing of large deals with clients and partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the sales process.
  • Drive a customercentric culture within the sales team and ensure excellent customer service standards.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating dedication resilience and a commitment to excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field; Master s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a sales manager or in a similar sales role within the Edtech industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a sales team to meet or exceed targets.
  • Deep understanding of sales performance metrics and proficiency in CRM software.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to develop and implement effective sales plans.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close and a track record of successful B2B sales.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Ability to travel as needed and a valid driver s license.
  • Highly organized detailoriented and capable of multitasking in a fastpaced environment.
  • Previous experience in Edtech sales and a strong network within the industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering results.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems educational technology and digital solutions is an advantage.
  • Passion for education innovation and improving learning outcomes through technology.
  • Certifications in sales or management will be considered an asset.
