Our client a successful technology company seeks a solutionsoriented Sales Engineer to join their team. This critical role involves driving the technical aspects of the sales cycle demonstrating product expertise and building strong customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Sales Partnership: Collaborate with Account Executives to provide technical expertise establish trust and achieve sales goals.
- Solution Architect: Develop a deep understanding of the companys technical solutions and effectively tailor them to address client needs.
- Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling demonstrations and facilitate proofofconcept integrations to showcase the value of the companys offerings.
- Customer Advocacy: Gather insights and feature requests from prospective clients to provide valuable feedback to product teams.
- Technical Project Support: Assist with technical aspects of RFPs/RFIs manage projects and provide detailed reporting.
- Technical Evangelist: Represent the company as a technical expert at industry events conferences and seminars as needed.
Requirements
SKILLS
- Sales Engineering Experience: Proven track record (5 years) in presales sales engineering or consulting roles preferably within a technologyfocused field.
- Technical Aptitude: Working knowledge of common enterprise IT environments (operating systems directory services network components).
- Strong Communication: Excellent written verbal and presentation skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- ProblemSolving: Talent for diagnosing issues finding solutions and clearly communicating technical concepts to varied audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Degree in computer science systems management a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Industry Certifications Relevant certifications demonstrating technical or security knowledge are a plus.
- SolutionFocused: Understanding of software architecture principles API integrations and solution design.
- Technical Breadth: Handson experience with configuring IT infrastructure components ideally those commonly requiring security solutions.
SKILLS Pricing Expertise: Proven experience in B2B SaaS pricing, with a strong grasp of subscription and consumption-based models. Analytical Acumen: Strong data analysis, financial modeling skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable pricing insights. Strategic Mindset: Ability to design and implement pricing frameworks that drive long-term business objectives. Problem-Solving: Talent for identifying pricing issues, evaluating options, and recommending solutions with demonstrable revenue impact. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. TECH STACK/CONCEPTS Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency with data analysis and financial modeling software. Market Research Tools: Experience utilizing market research platforms or tools to gather competitor pricing intelligence (optional). CANDIDATE BACKGROUND Experience: 7+ years in B2B tech pricing roles, with at least 5+ years focused directly on pricing strategy. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the security software space is a significant advantage but not an absolute requirement.
