- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that meets ISO/TS 16949 requirements and other applicable standards.
- Lead and manage a team of quality engineers and technicians to ensure that quality objectives are met and that continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure that quality is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all products are produced in accordance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Manage the complaint handling process and ensure that all customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that employees understand and follow quality procedures and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry standards, and ensure that the organization is compliant.
- Work closely with external organizations, such as certification bodies and regulatory agencies, to ensure that the organization maintains the required certifications and approvals.
- Own the cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) for internal and external rejections and manage within set budgets
- Provide leadership and guidance to the quality team to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- Continuously improve the quality management system to ensure it remains effective and efficient.
